  1. Kumkum Bhagya 2019: Cast And Styles Based partially on Jane Austens Sense and Sensibility, Zee Tv’s Kumkum Bhagya has been one of the most successful and longest running soap operas on Indian television. Premiered on 15th April 2014, this show is a romantic love story portraying a lead couple of famous musician Abhi, played by Shabbir Ahluwalia and a simple girl Pragya, played by Sriti Jha. Initially, the story revolved mainly around the pivotal female characters who lived in an all-female matriarchal family, but later a lot of twists and turns were added to move forward with the plot and subplots. Over the 5 years, KumKum Bhagya serial has received a thunderous response and has become a renowned household name. It was also touted as the biggest fiction launch of 2014 and has been presented with an array of awards. Setting Style Trends Since The Inception Apart from being a national sensation as an Indian TV show, Kumkum Bhagya serial has also garnered attention for being a super fashionable soap opera. Successfully setting trends all across India, and even abroad, the characters sport a myriad of style statements every now and then, with their individual signature fashion game. Most importantly, the female leads and supporting artists have been raging since the inception of the show for offering endless cues to the fashion-conscious crowd. The impact of the invasion of this TV show in Indian household is humongous, and this definitely alters the way in which people are perceiving contemporary fashion. Kumkum Bhagyas trademark looks are also leaving a long-lasting stamp on people of countries like Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Maldives, etc. The clothes worn by the characters define their personal trajectories, moods, relationships, moments on the show and much more. The enviable wardrobes of female characters like Sriti Jha, Leena Jumani, Shikha Singh, Ruchi Savarn, Richa Rathore on-screen are inspiring style aficionados to pick up a newfangled array of ensembles in their daily lives. Lets go through the style quotients of the beautiful and fashionable ladies of Kumkum Bhagya for a better understanding.

  2. Sriti Jha Who doesn't love the strong, compassionate and courageous Pragya Aka Sriti Jha from Kumkum Bhagya? She is probably the sister we all want to have, and her style evolution on the show is terrific! Portraying the character of a simple and sensible Indian girl, Pragya sports quintessential ethnic looks on-screen, which are quite chic and modish. This Indian-Boho Goddess and famous bahu of television is motivating millions to try out unconventional traditional avatars, that too in a bespeckled avatar! She kick-started her journey in the serial as a domicile girl and sported simple anarkalis and sleek glasses. Her Kurta style gradually changed to high-low, A-line, straight and other silhouettes. From leggings to easy-breezy palazzos, she has achieved proficiency in looking dainty in endless possible ways. When soft hearted Pragya transformed into a bold and powerful woman, her style cards also flipped. She slowly shifted towards sarees in soothing hues of pinks and mint greens to greys, blacks and blues. These gorgeous sarees in darker shades were also made extremely offbeat with the addition of layers like capes and jackets. Talking about Indo-western demeanours, she did not disappoint us there either! Her Indie gowns, cropped blouses with palazzos and longline jackets caught our attention. Also, she has also given us style goals in maxi dresses layered with trench coats, exuding grace and panache. Thus, Sritis on-screen looks keep unfolding every now and then, and Pragya keeps nailing her style game.

  3. Leena Jumani Gone are those days when vamps on television created a lot of buzz with the loud styles, be it in embellished chiffon sarees in dark hues, or over-the-top accessories and makeup. Popular for portraying her villainous character Tanu on KumKum Bhagya, the pretty actress Leena Jumani has completely changed the way we perceive the looks of conventional negative characters on screen. Everyone loves to hate her in the show, but we can't deny that she has an out-of-the-world style sense. Her off-shoulders have become a cult, and she exudes sophistication and smartness in a wonderful blend. A perfect archetype of sweetness and sensuality, Tanu rocks her off-shoulders, one-shoulders and strapless attires with so much conviction. The cape jackets, Indo-western dhoti salwars, embroidered lehengas, shiny sarees with a variety of blouses, always steal the show. They definitely help the audience to notch up their ethnic styles. Moving on from Indo-western and chic traditional looks, Leena is also seen sporting some great western ensembles. From pastel coloured maxi dresses to printed mid-dresses, she has bowled us over again and again. The most atypical vamp of TV industry indeed.

  4. Shikha Singh The hurdle on Abhi and Pragyas life in Kumkum Bhagya, Aaliya Mehra is a badass on screen. Played by popular TV actress Shikha Singh, this character proves how a vamp can look subtle, yet can scare the people around them. Her signature style consists of a range of variations, from soft pastels to the bold hues, especially black. From gowns to off-shoulder maxi dress, sarees to lehengas, this dimple girl showcases the most voguish vibes! In some episodes, Aaliya also exuded smart western edge, wearing shift dresses, culotte jumpsuits, solid fitted crop tops with pencil skirts, shirts with dungarees, plaid shirts, t-shirts, cold-shoulder tops, etc. This proves that she engages the audience with a very versatile onscreen presence.

  5. Ruchi Savarn Cutie Disha AKA Ruchi Savarn on Kumkum Bhagya is full of life, grace and sweetness on screen. Anyone who loves to deck up in ethnic avatars can seek inspiration from her character on-screen that exudes oh-so-sophisticated vibes, with simplicity and nuance. From pearl and sequin anarkalis, to floral printed lehengas, velvet ghagra cholis, pastel gowns, she has rocked each and every attire with sheer exquisiteness. Also, her nighties and satin robes in prints and dark shades catch our attention for being extremely a-la-mode!
