  2. Introduction You will have to create Demat accountif you want to trade in the stock markets. The stocks you acquire in the secondary market get deposited into your Demat account as a credit. In case you trade them, the amount of stocks sold will be debited to your Demat account to reflect your net holding. In today’s world, opening a Demat account is easier than ever before since you can open Demat account online. Thus, it’s easy on the condition that you do it smart using the online platform.

  3. A duly filled-in and signed application form for opening a Demat account • Passport size photographs of the investor • Identity proof (Driving Licence, Voter’s Id, Aadhar Card) • Address proof (Passport, Driving Licence, Voter’s Id, Aadhar Card) • Pan card copy • Proof of bank account

All these documents have to be self-attested by you. • Once you have the scanned copies of all the earlier mentioned documnets, to need to go through the on-screen instructions on the depository participant’s website and click submit at the end.
