  1. Is Rajasthan Rich in Solar Energy? The state of Rajasthan is a solar power powerhouse – it has the potential to generate 11,000 megawatts of electricity from solar sources alone. In this article, we’ll take a look at how the state plans to use this energy and what steps have been taken so far. A State Rich in Solar Energy Rajasthan is a state in northern India and is one of the country’s largest producers of solar energy. The Indian government is investing heavily in the state to turn it into a solar power powerhouse. It’s not just new projects that are fueling this rapid growth, but also older ones like the Sambhar Lake project and the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. Sustaining Power for Villages For a country that has more than 300 days of sun a year, Rajasthan is a solar power powerhouse. And it’s not just because of the number of sunny days. The state offers several advantages not found in any other region in India. The land is flat and well-suited to photovoltaic (PV) installations; it gets an excellent amount of annual sunshine; and the wind blows in the right direction for most PV installations, earning Rajasthan one of India’s highest solar insolation ratings at 4 to 6 kWh/sqm/day. Creating Jobs to Solve Poverty Rajasthan, one of India’s largest states, is rapidly pursuing renewable energy to create jobs by establishing solar companies in Rajasthan and solving poverty. The state government is committed to generating 20% of its electricity from renewables by 2020. Rajasthan is well on its way to this goal, with renewables currently accounting for 18-19% of the state’s total power mix. https://raysexpertsblog.wordpress.com/2021/11/29/is-rajasthan-rich-in-solar-energy/
