  2. Is the Electrician licensed? Electricians employed in the State of Texas are required by law to be licensed by the by the “Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation”

  3. Are there any different levels of Licensing? • Yes, there are 4 stages of licensing for Electricians. • Apprentice ElectricianSomebody new to the job is considered an Apprentice. After 2 years of supervised training and gaining a passing score on an electrical examination, they become a Wireman Electrician.

  4. Wireman ElectricianA Wireman Electrician is capable to work unsupervised in any inhabited home. They cannot work in the commercial location without a Journeyman Electrician supervising. • Journeyman ElectricianAt Caddell, all of the electricians we send to your home to work on your electrical system  at least this level of license. To become a Journeyman Electrician, one must finish 8000 hours of work below a Master Electrician and pass a written exam. • Master ElectricianA Master Electrician is just a Master. All electrical contract companies should have a Master Electrician on staff to supervise and train.
