  1. The tourism sector is predicted to grow again with the help of online booking and AI CRM. Tourism professionals see technology as a way to make travel more dynamic, according to the survey. Travel Tech Show (formerly TTE Europe) conducted a survey of buyers and suppliers who cited artificial intelligence, customer relationship management and online booking tools as the top three technologies to help drive this response. Improvements to the first five included self-help portals and new payment methods. This finding will come as no surprise to many in the industry, who are already turning to AI, cloud and other technologies to increase efficiency and improve the customer experience. Brian Shirin, managing director of SABS Travel Technologies, says: “Enabling passengers to automatically book tickets via OBT [online booking tool] while providing easy communication methods such as online chat will reduce customer and airline frustration. Important tourism for adaptation. Reorganize, provide resources, and meet customer expectations. OBTs were already playing an important role in travel bookings before the pandemic, and now they are playing an even more important role in the recovery of the industry and therefore in customer trust. “In recent weeks, American Airlines announced a major partnership with Microsoft, Expedia Group unveiled its new Open World technology platform, and Miami Airport announced the launch of biometric landing technology. The development of payments and other advances in travel fintech has also recently been identified as a growing priority for the industry as it seeks new revenue streams.

  2. The Travel Tech Show survey also asked attendees about the top challenges the travel tech industry is facing today amidst peak financial uncertainty (52%) as well as Covid-19 related restrictions (46%) and climate change. (36%) of the population. Cybersecurity ranked fourth, up from seventh two years ago. Meanwhile, sustainable travel has climbed from second place in 2020 to seventh.
