Plastic surgery is a special type of surgery that involves both a person's appearance and his or her ability to function. It intends to improve patients' appearance, self-image, and confidence through both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures

  3. Why Do People Get Plastic Surgery To improve the appearance.  Some people ore addicted to cosmetic surgery To correct a physical defect or to alter a part of the body that makes them feel uncomfortable To feel better about the way they look

  4. There Are Two Main Kinds Of Plastic Surgery.

  7. What Is The American Society Of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)

  8. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is the world’s largest organization that specializes in plastic surgery. The society focuses on providing quality care to its patients by encouraging high standards of training, physician practice, ethics and research.Contiue….

  9. History: Since its inception in 1931, the society has had surgeons skilled at Plastic and Reconstructive surgery certified by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the American Board of Plastic Surgery. ASPS was actually born out of another establishment – American Association of Oral Surgeons (1921).  Dr. Maliniac (founding father of ASPS) from Poland met with renowned physicians in the plastic surgery domain. With 10 charter members, the ASPS was launched in October 1931. Today, the ASPS have over 7000 members which include 94% of certified plastic surgeons in the United States. The objective of ASPS is to advance quality care in the field of plastic surgery. Continue….

  10. Find A Surgeon: The Find a surgeon service offered by the ASPS helps users to choose from the list of surgeons who are ASPS members. This list can be filtered based on the type of service the user needs and the location of the surgeon. This service also has links to locations in other countries where one wants to find a certified surgeon. The Plastic Surgery Foundation: Today, ASPS works in collaboration with The Plastic Surgery Foundation (The PSF) which was founded in 1948. PSF’s objective overlaps the goals of ASPS. PSF aims to improve the quality of plastic surgery patient care through extensive research and development. It collaborates with ASPS for clinical trials, trainings and research grants. Continue…

  11. The Journal: TheASPS publishes Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a peer-reviewed journal on plastic surgery. The journal encompasses all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery such as case reports, operative procedures and research. The editorial board of the journal consists of distinguished professionals and academicians. It also publishes reliable statistics on plastic surgery procedure. It is a comprehensive compilation of annual statistics from multiple online national databases. This data is considered to be an authoritative source even for government policies. Continue…

  12. The preeminence of The American Society of Plastic Surgery makes the world look up to this organization for path breaking research, development and impact. The president of ASPS Scot Bradley Glasberg says ‘plastic surgery is about more than enhancing aesthetics, it is also about rebuilding lives’ and ASPS certainly lives up to his vision. 13. When Is Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Too Much?

  14. “Some people get hooked on compliments and praise that come from the results. It makes them feel better and they want those shocking results again,” says Body Cosmetica CEO, Ryan Bloch. Especially, in this digital age with so much photoshop and airbrushing, plastic surgery candidates may feel the need to obtain aesthetic perfection. Before you get a cosmetic procedure it’s important to first meet with your plastic surgeon, to discuss your goals and motivation for getting the procedure. You should make sure your expectations are in line with the likely results, and that you understand the risks. Continue..

  15. It starts with one procedure- maybe a tummy tuck, orliposuction. Afterwards you think, hmmm…well that went well… maybe I should get a chin implant and a brazilian butt lift? Then 10 procedures later, your eyes are directly below your hairline and your protruding lips enter a room before you do. So we must always ask ourselves when is just one more, to much? It’s not uncommon for people to have two or three surgeries done at once. As a matter of fact, it’s often recommended. For example, a patient that wants liposuction and a brazilian butt lift, saves time and money getting both procedures at the same time. However, when it comes to the face, patients can become vulnerable to the plastic surgery high. Continue..

  16. If you’ve already received plastic surgery on a body part and want cosmetic plastic surgery again on that same feature (for reasons other than reconstructive or to fix surgical issues) you should consider delaying your cosmetic plastic surgery plans until you’ve thoroughly talked to a board certified surgeon. In all honesty, there aren’t many health risks with obtaining multiple plastic surgeries, especially if they are spaced out and on different areas of the body. Liposuction, for instance, can be done safely as long as only a certain amount of fat is being taken out. Continue...

  17. The risk increases if the amount becomes excessive. Scar tissue and tissue that dies during the healing process can become an unhealthy issue after multiple surgeries.  Breathing problems can happen after too many nose surgeries, and people can have dry corneas, which cause eye damage, from eye lifts. Once failing health becomes a factor, it is a clear sign that one more procedure is to much. When it really becomes a problem is when people are looking to change their lives by changing the way that they look. Continue…

  18. Cosmetic plastic surgery is a great way to enhance your looks and has the power to transform. However, the best way to determine how much is too much is look at why you want to have the procedure. If you are doing it because you would like to address a specific problem you are most likely fine. Conversely, if you are looking to do it to solve problems that have nothing to do with the way that you look the surgery just might be to much. Want to learn more? Contact Body Cosmetica.
