  2. Auto size sensing is a printer function that permits each tray to sense automatically what paper size is loaded into it. The machine does this by reading the position of the paper size guides. Auto size sensing also permits you to link two trays together when both have the same size paper loaded. (Review the “Linking trays” section in the User’s guide for more info). This function on a paper tray can be disabled, normally; users don’t want to turn off this setting unless printing on special paper size. With help of Lexmark printer repair centre users can select to turn off auto-size sensing if one of the trays constantly reads the wrong size paper, thus making the tray otherwise unusable.

  3. Turn off your printer. • With printer is of condition, press & hold the Select & Return buttons. • Turn on the printer back, keeping both the buttons held down. When Performing self-test appears on screen, you can release the buttons. You will see a CONFIG MENU on the completion of self-test.

  5. • Settings the tray to Off will turn off auto size sensing for that tray. • • Setting the tray to Auto turns on auto size sensing for that tray. • Press Select when you choice shows on screen. • Repeat the above mentioned steps if there are any other trays also need to be disabled for size sensing.

  6. When completed, press Return to go to main menu. • You need to press the left or right menu until you get Exit Config Menu as a choice on the second line. • Again press Select and it will save the new settings and also return the printer to Ready mode.
