What is a Stage Truck and What are it’s Uses

Stage trucks are platforms that resemble low rosters but are equipped with wheels to allow for quick and silent placement on stage. On the truck, a straightforward set can be created with furniture, accessories, and perhaps even some kind of background. A truck can be used to create a separate space that can be contained by careful lighting if the majority of a play is located in one location. 1. What is a Stage Truck and What are it’s Uses ? Stage trucks are platforms that resemble low rosters but are equipped with wheels to allow for quick and silent placement on stage. On the truck, a straightforward set can be created with furniture, accessories, and perhaps even some kind of background. A truck can be used to create a separate space that can be contained by careful lighting if the majority of a play is located in one location. On the main set, it might be concealed beneath drapes, brought into place as needed, then tucked away once more. Though they won't be seen from the front, the truck's back wheels should have quick- locking brakes to prevent it from moving as the cast climbs on and off of it or moves around while riding on it. A stage truck has a lot of dimensions it could be also like an OB van. A television production truck, often known as an OB van, is a compact mobile production control room that enables event recording and video production outside of traditional television studios. They are utilized for electronic field production, outdoor broadcasting (OB), and remote broadcasts (EFP). Some jobs call for a staff of up to 30 people, additional trucks

  2. for equipment, and a satellite truck that sends footage back to the studio through a communications satellite and a satellite dish before sending it back down to the studio. To save space, time, and money, some production trucks combine a satellite transmitter and dish for this use into a single truck body. Other, smaller television production trucks typically need two to three field personnel to operate them. For instance, broadcast journalism news reporters deliver the local news in the field using electronic news gathering (ENG) away from a regular television studio. There are instances where it may be a station wagon, people carrier, or even a motorcycle (especially in cities with congested streets or where a rapid response is needed and a motorbike is more maneuverable). A stage truck has almost everything inside for the best production, The majority of the production team is seated in front of a wall of television monitors in this area, which serves as the vehicle's production center. The video displays display all the video feeds coming from different sources, such as computer graphics, expert video cameras, video servers, and slow-motion replay devices. A preview monitor displays what could be the upcoming source on air, and a program monitor displays the feed that is now airing or being recorded. What is sent back to the central studio in charge of the outside broadcast is the keyed unclean feed (with digital on-screen graphics). Other vehicles could receive a clean feed (without the visuals) for use in their production. The assistant producers typically have a desk with monitors behind the directors where they can work. The ability to choose and air replays and slow-motion shots depend on the directors and assistant producers being in touch with one another during the event.
