The Rega Planar 8 is the second Rega turntable build by utilizing their ultra-lightweight Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core (a material produced for the aerospace business). The insertion of Tancast material between two layers of HPL (high strain overlay). HPL is astoundingly slender and incredibly rigid.
