  1. MEWP Training Course by Third Party IPAF Approved Partner Centre What type of MEWP training are covered under Operator Training? •1B : Static Booms Eg. Trailer Mount, Van Mount, Spider Lift. •3A: Mobile Vertical Eg. Scissor Lifts, Vertical Personnel Platforms. •3B: Mobile Boom Eg. Articulated & Telescopic Boom Lifts. Please Note: Both Mobile Booms & Mobile Verticals may be driven in an Elevated Position (subject to Risk Assessment) Location We can facilitate IPAF MEWP training at third party dedicated IPAF Approved partner centers in Dublin and Limerick carried out by an IPAF instructor and also have them attend your site location if required. Categories Completed per Training Day 1 day typically from 8.00am to 4.30pm. : i.e 3A Mobile Vertical & 3B Mobile Boom On-site training For on-site training is available anywhere in Ireland subject to minimum numbers and having the MEWPs available on site. A suitable room would be required for the theory section of the course, and a Mobile Vertical and Mobile Boom would be needed for the practical test. The Operator’s Manual and a copy of the current 6 monthly Certificate of Thorough Examination for each MEWP is required. Award On completion successful candidates will receive an Operators Card and a Certificate of Training. This card will be provided by a third party dedicated IPAF approved centre. Operators card & cert valid for 5 years.

They must be medically fit to operate machinery. Course Objectives To provide delegates with the essential knowledge required to operate various types of MEWPs under three IPAF categories 3a Mobile Vertical, 3b Mobile Boom and 1b Static Boom categories efficiently and safely. Training Methods Presentation with slides, video, printed course material, demonstration, practical use.

  3. Who Will Benefit? All those in your organisation who use, supervise or manage the use of MEWPs would benefit from IPAF Operator training. This 3 category course covers Scissor Lifts (Mobile Vertical lifts), Self-Propelled Telescopic booms or Articulating booms (Mobile booms), Static Booms with outriggers including Spider booms on tracks or wheels, Van-mounted booms, Truck-mounted booms or Trailer-mounted booms subject to receiving familiarisation on the model machine being used. IPAF WAH/HARNESS inspection training can also be included with M.E.W.P (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) Trainingif required.
