  1. How To Book A Stick Shift Lesson With South Bay Driving School?

  2. South Bay Driving School offers stick shift lessons every day by appointment. The teacher will teach in the morning or afternoon. There won't be any after-dark lessons offered. For individuals who already have a license, we provide stick shift instruction. At the South Bay Driving School office, all of our stick shift courses start and end. Call us at 310-791-1111 right now if you're interested in scheduling a stick shift lesson with us.

  3. The first session involves practising shifting into gear and using the clutch in a parking lot. Depending on the learner, the first 30 to 40 minutes may be utilised to teach a smooth or typical takeoff. The teacher will take the student out on flat main streets for around 15 minutes after they have a basic understanding of how to stop and go using the clutch and gas pedals. Once the fundamentals of using the clutch and gears have been mastered, the instructor can practise stopping, taking off and balancing on a slope.

  4. Balancing a clutch is the most important part of the lesson and once the hill has been practiced, he can take the student out into traffic areas and busy traffic. They should be finishing up with understanding the 1st through 4th gears in residential and business areas. Stop and go is practiced, as changing gears, up and down, clutch balance, and speed control. One lesson is usually enough to get an understanding of the basics. A second lesson may help perfect the use of the clutch if a student has difficulties in the initial lesson. A 2-hour lesson is $190. There are no packages offered, but, ask the instructor if you have a special reason to take more than one or two lessons.
