  2. Managing Separation Anxiety: • Helping Kids Adjust to Daycare Life • A milestone for parents and their young children is putting a child in daycare. It ushers in a brand-new chapter in which kids begin their journey of development, education, and socialization. However, many kids have separation anxiety when they join a daycare center; this change can also be overwhelming. • (647) 478-6114 www.stgeorgeminischool.ca

  3. Best ways to manage separation anxiety in kids • Positive reinforcement • Be Consistent When dropping your child to the daycare center, follow a regular schedule and say goodbye quickly. Leaving swiftly and with assurance can lessen the child's anxiety. Praise and support your child as they adjust to daycare. Say encouraging things and acknowledge modest accomplishments, like meeting new people or partaking in activities. Gradual Induction • Establish a Routine • Arrange for the youngster to visit the daycare a few times before the start date; this enables them to get comfortable with the surroundings, educators, and other kids before gradually extending the time they spend there in the future. • Giving kids a predictable daily schedule gives them a sense of stability. Furthermore, anxiety in children can be managed when they know what to anticipate during the day. www.stgeorgeminischool.ca
