  1. What is Cirrhosis? Know the Causes, Symptoms, and the necessary Precautions Chronic Liver Disease (CLD) Cirrhosis is an irreversible liver condition in which the liver tissues get damaged extensively as a possible result of development of various hepatic diseases. Gradually, the damage caused by diseases reaches to a point where it is no longer treatable. The liver, in this condition, loses its ability perform functions. Liver is a vital organ and performs essential functions like metabolism, production of glucose and bile, elimination of toxics from the bloodstream, and storage of nutrients. The inability of the liver to function can be fatal Cost of liver transplant in India Cirrhosis is the condition in which the normal tissues in the liver get damaged and are replaced by scar tissues, also known as fibroids. It happens gradually, healthy liver tissues, once damaged, die. They are replaced by fibroids that slowly develop and makes the liver unable to function. Scarring of liver tissues can happen due to reasons like alcoholism, viruses, and more. Cirrhosis not only decreases the ability to function, but also causes further problems like brain function disorders, portal hypertension, excessive fluids in the abdomen, and bleeding disorders. As deadly the disease may sound, it can be avoided by treating the complications that develop into cirrhosis. Treatment in the onset stage is the only precaution that a person can take. Cirrhosis does not have a cure, it is the end stage condition in which the life of patient can only be saved through a liver transplant surgeon in delhi,

  2. The causes of CLD Cirrhosis are:       Excessive consumption of alcohol Fat accumulation in the liver Toxic hepatitis Wilson's disease (copper accumulation in the human body) Hepatitis A & B Repeated bouts of heart failure Symptoms of CLD Cirrhosis:           Fatigue Weight loss Jaundice (yellowing of eye and face) Fluid accumulation in abdomen Loss of appetite Weakness Redness of palm Easy bruising and bleeding Nausea Chest enlargement in men Since the disease does not have any cure except a liver transplantation, it becomes necessary to avoid the onset of diseases that develop into Cirrhosis. Precautions are necessary to avoid the fatal disease. Dr. Vivek Vij, top liver transplant surgeon in India suggest the following precautions to avoid Cirrhosis from developing- 1.Alcohol abuse must be avoided 2.Maintaining fitness; obesity must be avoided 3.Monogamy sexual practices 4.Safe sexual intercourse; usage of protection 5.Vaccination to immune yourself from Hepatitis B 6.Consumption of a balanced diet 7.Avoiding prolonged exposure to certain chemicals It is important to ensure hepatic health, and consulting a doctor during the beginning stages of liver diseases, so as to avoid development of the same into a fatal one.
