  1. The Five Symptoms That Your Fuel Pump Relay Is Faulty Engine Management Light - When the check engine light comes on, the engine control module also known as ECU continuously examines all of the engine's sensors to make sure they are not sending false information. If the ECU notices an inaccurate reading from any sensor, the engine management light will come on. The engine management light is another frequent indicator of a malfunctioning fuel pump. Check MOT history online for your vehicle to see if this has ever happened to it and resulted in a MOT test failure. The ECU monitors the fuel pressure via the fuel pressure sensor. If the fuel pump relay breaks unexpectedly, the check engine light will illuminate and a trouble code referring to fuel pressure will be recorded.
