  1. WhyDataCentersAren’t asGreen as You Think Data centershave a reputationfor beingenvironmentally unfriendly. Butthis reality isn’t the onlywayforward. Infact, many data centersare implementing green practices that make them more sustainable and reduce their environmental impact. However, somedata centers are stillnotas greenastheyshould be.In this blog post, wewilltakea closer look atwhydata centersaren’tas greenas youthink and explore someof thebest waysto makethem more sustainable. DataCenterCooling Whendata centers are coolingtheir racks, manyof themuseoutdated technologythatisnotasefficient asit could be.For example, datacenters typicallyusealotof variable-speedACfans and other systems tocooltheir racks. However, these fans canuse alot ofenergyand generate a lotofnoise. HotandColdAisles Today, datacentersutilizestandarddatacentercooling methodsofhotand cold aisleairflow management.Byhaving these twotypesofaisles, thedatacenter canregulate thetemperaturemoreefficiently. Thehotaisleiswheretheservers give off heat, and air conditioners cool the cold aisle. When these two areas are notproperly segregated, it canlead to inefficienciesincooling.

  2. Best practices for mostdata centers areoutdated, likeusing cold aisle data centerairflowcontainment.Thesepracticescancreateamassiveamountof energy waste and they arenot sustainablepractices forthefuture. Data Centersand Sustainability With data centers being more important than ever to our daily lives, it is crucial thatthey areas sustainable as possible. Data centers currently use 2%of the world’s electricity.Thisislikely tocontinuetogrowas we become more relianton theuseofdata centers. It is estimatedthat30-50%oftheenergydatacenters usegoes towardscooling theracks. This meansthatbyimprovingthe cooling efficiency ofdatacenters, wecanmakeasignificantdent in their overallenergy consumption. One way to do thisis throughimmersioncooling. ImmersionCoolingforDataCenters Immersioncooling is amethodof cooling electronic equipmentusingspecially developedfluids. TMGcorehas developedsingle-phase and 2-phase immersion cooling technologytohelp datacentersmaketheir systemsmore green and spend less onenergy costs.TMGcore’s systemsuse dielectricfluidsthat are non-conductive and environmentally friendly. These fluids surroundthe servers anddraw theheat away fromthem, providingmore efficientcooling. This technology canbeusedinanumberof ways to make data centerseven moresustainable.Thefutureof immersioncoolingissustainableand could benefitlocalcommunities. ImmersionCoolingandHeatRe-Use The future of data center best practices, when including single-phase and 2- phase immersion cooling, looks even more promising when we look at reusing theheatcreated.Theheat couldbeusedfor severalthings likeheatingwaterat acorporatecampus orcreating aheatingloopforamunicipaldistrict.TMGcore is committed tohelpingcreatemoresustainabledatacentersand willcontinueto leadthe way inthis industry. Byusingpractices likeimmersioncooling, datacenters cansignificantlyreduce their environmentalimpact while alsosavingmoney. BetterThanCool

  3. TMGcore makes data centers better than cool; it makes them more green and sustainable.TMGcore’ssingle-phaseand2-phaseliquidcoolingtechnologiesare thefuture ofdatacenter cooling and willhelp createamoresustainable world for usall.
