  1. Dear Mom and Dad, Today we went to the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in New York. It was really cool. Lady Liberty is so big. I had learned in social studies that the country of France gave her to the United States. I can’t believe that it was brought over piece by piece and put together here. Our class rode a ferry over to the island and had a picnic lunch in the park. See you soon. Love,Sally

  2. Dear Mom and Dad, I am having a really cool time exploring the coral reefs. They are more beautiful than all the pictures in my books. I saw some bright colored fish hiding in the reef this morning. I hope the pictures I took will be good. See you soon. Love,Sally
