Ram Navami presentation by the Victorious Kidss Educares teachers

Ram Navami falls on the ninth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Chaitra (April/May) eight (8) days after Yugādi and coincides with Vasant Navratri or Chait Durga Puja. This festival is spread over nine (9) days. This day, marks the birthday of Lord Rama and is also observed as the marriage day of Rama and Sita and thus also referred to as Kalyanotsavam. This year, Rama Navami falls on the Friday, the 15th of April 2016. <br> At Victorious Kidss Educares, the significance of this festival, was delivered with an informative presentation by the teachers.   1. Ram Navami Ram-associated with Lord Rama Navami-falls on The ninth day of Chaitra month usually in March or April.

How Ram Navami is Celebrated? • Special dishes • Puja, vrata (fast) and feasting. • Reading Ramayana. • Bhajans, songs and dances • New clothes • In south India, this auspicious day is also considered as the marriage day of Rama and Sita. • Decorate houses with colours. • Adorn the entrance doors with mango leaves, which signify prosperity. • Rathayatras. • Dip in the sacred river Sarayu.
