Let’s know about the optical metrology – Optical measurement machine

The study of physical surface characteristics, such as dimensions, flatness, curvature, roughness, and so forth, is known as optical metrology. These are non-destructive in nature and can be determined using a variety of contact or non-contact methods. They can be used to assess an optical component's ability to perform in accordance with its design parameters.

  1. Let’s know about the optical metrology – Optical measurement machine The study of physical surface characteristics, such as dimensions, flatness, curvature, roughness, and so forth, is known as optical metrology. These are non-destructive in nature and can be determined using a variety of contact or non-contact methods. They can be used to assess an optical component's ability to perform in accordance with its design parameters. The best method for enhancing automation is frequently optical metrology in one of its many forms because it is quicker than other approaches. Optical techniques also have the benefit of measuring delicate surfaces, such as auto body sheet metal, composite components, or delicate surgical implants, without leaving marks or deforming them. Another example is the use of metrology tools to move robots precisely, boosting their location accuracy from a few millimetres to at least 100 metres. There are some optical measurement machines we should know about it Micro vu vision system (MVS) is a new technology that utilizes miniature cameras to see in the near infrared range. This technology can be used for a variety of applications, such as detecting explosives and contraband. Video measuring systems locates and measures items in a video using computer vision technology. An automated video measuring device often includes information that can be used to identify and measure objects in videos. What VIEW is video monitoring – Optical metrology For any need for exceptionally high precision measurement, VIEW offers the ideal answer. VIEW non-contact measuring systems use sub-pixel image feature detection with either field-of-view (FOV) or point-to-point (PTP) setups for excellent accuracy and reproducibility. There are the main view’s optical metrology systems ● BENCHMARK 250 - A compact, high-accuracy dimensional ● BENCHMARK 300 - High-performance floor model optical metrology system ● BENCHMARK 450 - High-value, high-accuracy dimensional metrology system
