  3. With a population of just over 2 million people, WA comprises eight states and territories, making it one of the most prominent regions of Australia. Every year, thousands of people worldwide choose the Western Australia immigration pathway to create a foundation for a better life abroad. To migrate to Western Australia, you must be nominated under a subclass 190 visa. It’s a state-nominated visa that requires a candidate to secure a nomination from an Australian state or territory government. To be eligible, you must fulfill both the Department of Home Affairs criteria for the visa nomination and the requirements determined by the government of Western Australia. Please note that being nominated by the WA Government does not guarantee your visa, as the DHA will give its final approval.

Recently, the government of Western Australia introduced some changes to the existing skilled state nomination program criteria, which include: • Added new occupations to the eligible list • Waived off $200 application fee • Announced a package of 41.2 million package to support the international education sector in Western Australia. • halving the requirement to have an employment contract from 12 months to six months • reduced requirements for applicants to demonstrate sufficient settlement funds • Reduction in the English language requirements for professional and manager occupations, and Eligibility requirements

To apply for Western Australia visa 190, you must: • Be under 45 years of age • Have a relevant experience in one of occupations mentioned on 190 visa occupation list • Meet the point-test mark of 65 points • Be nominated by Western Australia • Register an Expression of Interest and be invited to apply for the visa. • Have competent level of English skills • Meet health and character requirements
