  1. How To Be A Great Escape Room Team Member Escape rooms have grown in popularity throughout the world. It brings families, friends and colleagues together in an imaginary world for an hour or more. Escape rooms require those taking part to work together as a team. If you are going to be taking part in an escape room experience with colleagues, you may end up in a room with those you don't know. You want to be a great escape room team member, then there are some things you can bear in mind. One of the most important things about being a great escape room team member is to communicate. Talk to your team mates, that means everyone that is trying to escape the room with you and not just those you know. By talking to all the team members, you can share what you see and find out what they have found, this will help you work together towards a common goal, escape the room within the allocated time. While it is important to communicate, it is also important to listen. If you don't listen to your other team mates, then you may not know some clues or puzzles they have found or solved. The last thing you want is someone to shout out an answer to a clue or puzzle and they are ignored. The aim is to escape the room within the time frame and if you are wasting time going over puzzles that others have already solved, you will never escape in time. It is also important to not only communicate and listen, but also ask for help if it is needed. It's alight to ask for help, you are a team that needs to work together. One person should not be stuck doing the same puzzle for the entire time you are in the room. Asking for help can put more brains into working out the puzzle, speeding up answers and helping you escape. Remember everyone thinks differently and sometimes that is all you need to solve a puzzle or clue. A very important rule when you are in an escape room is not to grab something out of someone else’s hands. If someone is struggling with a puzzle, it doesn't mean you should grab it. It's best to approach the other player and ask if they need help or if you can help them. Identify what they have tried so far and listen to their answer, this could give you or them an idea on trying something new to solve the puzzle. Brain storm with the group. Two heads are always better than one and four is better than two. In an escape room you want everyone to provide a solution. Brain storming is an excellent way to solve puzzles and clues. Not everyone comes up with the same solution, even though not all the solutions are the right ones. Being able to brain storm as a group will help you get through the game as a team, celebrating victory when you get out within the time given. Remember an escape room is a team event, so do not hold onto all the clues and keys throughout the game. You need to keep your hands free to explore and open things. You need to investigate everything in the room, you never know where the next puzzle or clue is hidden.
