  6. Tools For Success • The following supplies are required for earth and environmental science: • Three-ring binder (1 to 2 inches) • 5 subject dividers • Pencils and black ink pens • Red ink pen and highlighter • Notebook Paper • Fabric Book Cover

  7. What we will study: • Rocks and Orographic Structures • Rivers, Lakes, and Wetlands • Earthquakes and Volcanoes • Plate Tectonics and Mountain Building • Weather and Climate • Energy and Resources • The Earth’s place in our solar system

  8. Our First Unit Will Be: The Solar System: -the earth’s role as a planet -the Sun-Moon-Earth system -characteristics of our universe and solar system

  9. Be Prepared For: • Quizzes nearly every day • Notes nearly every evening • 7 Unit Tests • At least 2 honors projects • A standardized test at the end of the course
