Tipus d’imant • Imants naturals • Tenen un magnetisme feble. • Màgnesia (Turquia) van trobar Magnetita • Imants artificials • Aliatges de ferro que són sotmesos a l’acció d’un intens camp magnètic quedant magnetitzats. • Acer al carboni • Alnico (30 cops més intens que l’anterior). És un aliatge de Fe, Alumini, Ni, Co)
