What’s Next Reviewed example agreement with Sanborn and Earth Data “Tentatively” agreed to the general terms- will need to formalize the agreement Initial RFP prepared and sent for review (Hall and Henry County) Distribute to Counties for verification Present to ARC Board as a programmatic element for Calendar year 2009

Cooperative Imagery Assessment Results • In early February, 2008, the Atlanta Regional Commission sent a survey to the Regional GIS Users Group list. • …ARC requests that you complete the following survey about specific data products related to a cooperative imagery purchase agreement... • The products listed in the survey are based on 6" imagery at 1" to 100' scale. Landuse Modeling Program • PECAS • Production Exchange Consumption Allocation System • Developed by Drs Doug Hunt and John Abraham of University of Calgary • I-O economic model approach • Two Modules, run Sequentially and Annually • Activity Allocation (HH and Jobs) Module • Space Development Module • 78 LUZ zones for 20-County model • Landuse forecast • Small area population and employment forecast • Generate input for Travel Demand Model

Landuse Modeling Program Progress to date REMI being Purchased IMPLAN model installed and calibrated PECAS: Explored Montgomery implementation first-hand (August) and have a running Montgomery model (uncalibrated) Attended three-day PECAS workshop in Montgomery (November) Preliminary Model Design is complete Holding regular online meetings with Hunt and Abraham (HBA Specto, Inc.) with focus on: Data Review and Advice: Sources and Collection Preliminary Model Design Diagram: Setup and Future Phases Ongoing Data Collection Parcels Assessors Files Base CoStar Data (point file) Base Population and Employment Data PUMS DATA Freight Data

Landuse Modeling Program Next steps Establishing Technical Advisory Committee to meet quarterly Contract through July being finalized, to include Workshops for AA and SD Modules Data Development Consult Model Development Consult and Setup Implementation Continued Data Development Integration of parcel and assessor databases Develop economic coefficients via IMPLAN Derive needed Census data from PUMS Calibration work beginning after July Will actually work on fitting data to the model In the next month, online “Forecasting” page integrating the above and other resources

ESRI Enterprise License Agreement Enterprise License Agreement for Small Municipal and County Governments  Three tiers for populations of 100k or less (Some flexibility if close to cutoff) Less than 25k $25,000 25k to 50k $35,000 50k+ to 100k $50,000 100k+ Tier a possibility Do not need to be an existing ESRI Customer Available starting January 1, 2008 All core products in ArcGIS Desktop (ArcView, Editor, Info) and extensions (Spatial Analyst, ArcPress, Network Analyst, 3D Analyst, etc.), ArcGIS Server (Standard and Enterprise and extensions), ArcIMS and ArcGIS engine. Does not include royalty-based products such as ArcPad. 3 year commitment includes all updates, maintenance and support ELA may be extended after 3 years, in 3 year increments. Population only reviewed at extension.
