The Brown Bear Family • A brown bear is a bear with a hump. • These bears are more aggressive than black bears. • Brown bears tower over black bears like a pear does to a pea. • Brown bears can be black , cinnamon ,and brown.
Grizzlies Grizzlies can be nine feet tall and weigh eight hundred pounds! Lots of them are being hunted so they are threatened so they are close to being endangered. If we don’t stop hunting them they will become extinct. Bear 101! If you startle a bear slowly walk away!
Black Bears • When Theodore ( Teddy ) Roosevelt went on a hunting trip and refused to shoot a black bear cub a company made a stuffed bear and called it a ( Teddy ) bear. • Brown bears would be dominant over these bears because they are more aggressive and larger then black bears.
Shades • Black bears can be brown and black as so can brown bears. • Some black bears can be white. • These bears are sometimes called ghost bears. • They can be cinnamon too.
