  2. A year after they left Egypt, God told Moses to send men to spy on the land of Canaan the land that God promised to give them. God’s people did not always trust in God and they always doubted His words.

  3. Moses asked them to find out if the people were strong or weak, many or few, and He wanted to know what the fruit of the land was like Moses chose 12 people to spy out the land. They were from 12 different families

  4. They returned after 40 days What did they bring back with them ???????

  5. Cluster of grapes The cluster was so big that it took two men to carry it on a pole between them.

  6. Pomegranates & figs

  7. Ten of them said that the land was really good. But they were afraid because the people there were strong men of war

  8. Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun, trusted in God’s promises.

  9. Caleb told the people, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it”

  10. Caleb and Joshua trusted in God’s promises. They were confident that God will help them no matter how hard or impossible the situation might be. That’s why God was very pleased with them, and told Moses that only Joshua and Caleb will go into the Promised Land.
