  2. Bellwork-Define these words as best as possible. 11/28/12 Word Definition • Yellow (not the color) • Bourgeois • Clavichord • Coward • Middle class; someone Dominated or characterized by materialistic pursuits or concerns • An early type of keyboard

Small Group Discussion • Get in groups of no more than four, and discuss answers to the questions given (these are all questions you came up with). • Each person should write answers/take notes in their bellwork journal so you can refer back to your answers tomorrow during large group discussion (I will be looking for these when I grade your BW journal next week). • Refer to the text and write down page numbers as you discuss. • Be prepared for entire class discussion tomorrow (graded discussion). • When you are finished, quietly read.

  4. Announcements • Cans—Bring canned food in for the canned food drive. • Homework: • TTTC—Go to turnitin.com and read the comments about your paper by Friday 11/30. You will receive points for this. • By Friday you must be through Chapter 17; take notes on the Museum of Natural History and Holden’s date/relationship with Sally (do this in your bellwork journal) • By Tuesday Dec. 4 mentor student agreement form due. • Bellwork Journals due Friday Dec. 7
