Minor Changes Safety glasses will be the wrap around type or side shields Eye and Foot Protection have “current edition” of ANSI Two (2) adjustable medical splints: one leg and one arm CPR is added to first aid training Drilling rig crew at the rig shall be trained on fire extinguisher annually

    6. Minor Changes (con’t) Standard guard rail (top, mid, toe) installed on any floor, platform, walkway, ramp or runway which is 4 feet above ground or working level. No Smoking within 75’ of well bore. H2S ceiling level 10 ppm.

    16. Additional Requirements for Coal Bed Methane Natural Gas

    17. Major Changes CBMNG drilling rigs will not operate their running lights, tail lights, or other lights while drilling the well. Once the well is capped with a wellhead, rigs lights can be operated. All CBMNG drilling rigs and auxiliary equipment shall be equipped with over rev device installed on the motor, and flame arrestors attached to exhaust.

    18. Major Changes (con’t) Each CBMNG drilling location shall have Lower Explosive Limit monitor located at the drillers control panel at all times. This monitor will measure the LEL and alarm at 10% of the LEL. The monitor must be calibrated to the manufactures specifications.

    19. Major Changes (con’t) CBMNG drilling rigs shall require the use of well pressure control equipment specifically designed and manufactured for such use. CBMNG well pressure control equipment shall have one person trained in the operation of the well pressure control equipment. This person must be on site during drilling operations.

    20. Major Changes (con’t) Drilling compressors (air or gas) shall be located at least 125 feet from the wellbore and in a direction away from the discharge or blooie line. CBMNG compressors equipped with spark arrestors, over rev devices, and bonded to rig or wellbore are exempt.

    21. Minor Changes CBMNG rigs shall have two (2) 20 pound fire extinguishers The ton mile program is not applicable to CBMNG drilling rigs, however the daily visual & 30 day through inspection are required for all rigs and documented.

    22. Minor Changes (con’t) CBMNG drilling operations shall divert gas fluids through an approved flowline into the mud pit at a minimum of 30’ from the well bore. The flowline shall be made of 6” schedule 20 line pipe or equivalent and be securely anchored and bonded.

    23. Minor Changes (con’t) A pilot flame shall be maintained at the end of the discharge line at all time when air, gas or mist drilling is in progress. CBMNG air and gas drilling is exempt. On a conventional drilling site all combustible material shall be kept at least 100 feet away from the discharge line and pit. For CBMNG sites, combustible materials within 30 feet of discharge line (flowline) must be stored in a fire proof cabinet.
