  3. Action Plan • Title: One village One Product • Objectives: To create job Opportunities & promote income generation • PRS aspect: Socioeconomic development

  4. Objective • The project in concern are: • To create job opportunities and promote income generation for local people in utilizing their own skills and resources in manufacturing local products. • To develop local knowledge, talent and creativity through realizing regional pride and refining indigenous products.

  5. Focusing Areas • Socio-economic development of the local Populace through participatory approach.

  6. Expected Outcomes • Strengthened local economy through adoption of family- and group-based micro enterprises, • Increased opportunities for the local people to participate in stream of economic growth, • Enhanced indigenous knowledge and skills, • Promoted social status as a result of economic development.

  7. Activities Activity (1): Identifying potential products e.g., textiles, lacquer wares, wooden products, basketry made of bamboo, and ceramics. Activity (2): Capacity Building for Producers Providing production-oriented or technical skills training (imparting and advising on production, quality control, packaging and designs that make them even more attractive to domestic and export markets).

Activities Cont: Activity (3): Marketing Development • Opening OVOP shops in the respective municipal areas. • Promotion of OVOP products through trade fairs. • Opening of regional OVOP centers to provide domestic buyers and tourists greater access to wide variety of traditional products. • Activity (4): Provision of small financial assistant • Capital support for producers who wish to gain access to fund. This will be implemented through a memorandum of agreement.

  9. Progress Indicators • Numbers of enterprises • Numbers of employments • Amount of household income • Level of Knowledge and skill • Social status Time Table • Duration of the project is expected to be 1 year starting from beginning of financial year.

  10. Inputs Budget • Resource Persons e.g., experts in particular product, design, and marketing. • Education and information materials. • Finance. • The costs is intended to mainly bear by the municipality budget. Therefore, it allocation is flexible.

  11. Actors • Respective municipalities. • Local authorities e.g., Peace and Development Councils. • Government agencies e.g., Ministry of Co-operative, Ministry of Industry (1), Ministry of Trade and Commerce, etc. • INGO e.g., FAO, JETRO , etc. • Local Communities and entrepreneurs.
