  8. Cost savings How much does it cost to interview a candidate? How much does it cost to hire a candidate? How much does it cost to train a candidate? The key is to hire the right people from the beginning!

Network Effects • Network Effects • Drives up its value as the number of users increases • Works two ways: • Entices potential employees and companies/employers to join because of new services • Companies pay for LinkedIn Recruiter • Hiring tool that enables companies to access ALL user profiles • User does not know recruiters are looking

Open Content LinkedIn now has Open Content which means the doors are open to submitting and publishing content Members can now follow other members that are not in their network and they can build their group of followers Opportunity to connect and influence key players in your industry to become an “Influencer” According to Socialmedia Today “consumer habits found that 81% of shoppers researched companies and products before making a major purchase”

  14. Update and update often!! • Businesses should keep their social sites updated • Update OFTEN!! • This could create consumer confusion or lost revenues • These updates will hit your followers and groups effectively

  16. What if Facebook died?! • What would happen? • Businesses would lose free marketing • 1.5 billion users, where would they go? • Who let’s customers walk out the front door? • Not to worry, it won’t happen

  17. What’s the real value? • LinkedIn $169.44 • Facebook $61.36 • Where does the value lie? • LinkedIn’s IPO was $45 • If the stock price is rising, they have got to be doing something right
