  2. Historical Paper – a research paper • 1,500 – 2,500 words in length (6-10 pages) • double spaced • size 12 font • Times New Roman font • Include an annotated works cited page in MLA Format • Parenthetical Citation • Only as an individual

  3. Exhibit in a group or individually a maximum of 500 student generated words can appear on the board dimensions - 6ft. x 40 in. x 30 in.

  4. Documentary in a group or individually 7 – 10 minutes in length done on I movie or Movie maker Must be put on YouTube so that I can view it

  5. Performance In a group or individually 7-10 minutes in length you must design and build all sets and costumes

  6. Web Site You must show me a website that you have previously created You have to use the NHD website editor - Weebly Cannot contain more than 1,200 student generated words Cannot use more than 100MB of file space You are responsible to ensure that your project can be viewed by all browsers

  7. Group Projects If you decide to do a project as a groups please know that the entire groups will be graded together. So make sure that you choose your groups wisely.

  8. Group Projects All groups must be able to work together effectively, get over arguments, sometimes agree to disagree in order to move on and be able to create and share a vision of what the final product will look like.

  9. The Pitfalls of Doing a Group Project Be very careful who you choose to be in your NHD group. Make sure that you will be able to work together effectively .

  10. The Pitfalls of Doing a Group Project Do not choose your boyfriend or girlfriend. You may breakup and still have to work on the project together – awkward!

  11. The Pitfalls of Doing a Group Project Do not choose lazy partners, even if they are your friends. You will end up doing all the work and they will get the same grade as you.

  12. The Pitfalls of Doing a Group Project Avoid having busy people in your group. It will be difficult to schedule meeting times and they will not contribute in a way you want them too.

  13. The Pitfalls of Doing a Group Project Make sure that everyone in the group knows what they are responsible for and what role they should play.

  14. Attention Honors Students!!! Your friends who are in non-honors will ask you to be in a group with them. Be careful! They may want you to do all the work.
