  1. 10/8/2012 Centralia School District (K-6)Superintendent - Diane Scheerhorn, Ph.D.Chief Business Official – Nancy Nien , Ph.D.Fiscal Expert: None assigned at this time 2012-13 July Adopted Budget • 2012-13 Operating Budget $34.5 M • $441/ADA reduction is assigned in ending fund balance for 2012-13 and 2013-14 and partially for 2014-15 • Negotiations Settled for 2012-13 both units • 4 furlough days, 31:1 class size; increased to 8 days if $441/ADA trigger happens • Declining enrollment since 02/03 • Multi-year projections: • 12/13 Structural deficit $871K if taxes pass w/4 furlough days • 12/13 Structural deficit$2.3M if taxes fail w/8 furlough days • Trigger impact: additional $1.98M ($457/ ADA) • Reinstated 4 furlough days: $543K increase in out years • 12/13 moving Ed Jobs expenses from restricted to unrestricted • 12/13 and 13/14 reduction of 3 certificated FTEs due to declining enrollment and 5 classified FTEs in 12/13 (one-time) • March 15 notices: 22 temporary teachers • Cost of 1% is $292K and 1 furlough day is $136K for all bargaining units
