  3. Class OverviewGrades: • 20% class performance • 20% 9 weeks test • 20% each assignment Procedures: • Place book bag and personal items under desk. • Teacher intro • systematic art distribution • on task during class • systematic art collection.

  4. School and County Policies • ATTENDANCE:Sign-in/sign-out admits are required the next day. • two points off each unexcused absence • Call school the day of absence by 8a.m. • three unexcused absences= scholarship warning in art class • NO HALL PASSES during class other than teacher assistants • Tardies: 1- detention 2-s.w.d.

  5. Semester Exams • Exams count 1/3 of semester average • Exam preparation in form of review sheets • review work sheets covered in class end of 1st quarter • exam prep three days before exam

  6. Class Performance 20% exam notebookand 9 weeks test

  7. 20% Art Assignments • Use class time wisely to complete the work. • Turn in work on time to receive grade. • Complete all assignments to the best of your ability. • Always have your art in class.

  8. Procedure for turning in art for a grade • Empty the contents of your art folder. • Place your pre-assigned extra credit work for that assignment in the folder. • Place your finished masterpiece inside your folder. • Place the folder beside the teacher’s desk for grading.

  9. Late Grade Policy • First day late- minus two points • Second day late-minus four points • Third day late-minus six points • Fourth day late- Scholarship Warning

  10. Grading Scale for Art • 90-100 A • 80-89 B • 70-79 C • 60-69 D • below 60 F

  14. Parents Can Help! Flash cards and felt tip pens for exam prep, 2nd quarter encouraging work with flash cards thirty minutes each week, 2nd quarter
