Generally a result of conservative margins and the customers load not up to full operation. Hence each UPS module is underused and having “excessive” resources. With this over sizing the power conversion efficiency is not optimal. • To prevent an increase on costs of ownership an intelligent “Power Management” is needed • By the Load Based Shutdown (LBS) function UPS modules are shutdown gradually • Increases the load current per UPS, moving the working point to a better efficiency status.
