  1. 4 vital factors that aid NEMT in transporting patients safely Medical transportation is a vital process in any medical facility or hospital. Several individuals need medical transportationservices for many reasons, which include: regular medical appointments, specialized medical facilities, and spontaneous hospital visits due to injury and sickness. Sometimes, patients can be transported to and from different floors and rooms for different diagnostic and treatment procedures. Specialized hospital staff or medical transportation experts should consider the following factors for the safe transportation of patients: 1. Identification slip While transporting a patient, always carry his/her respective identification slip that directs transport personnel to the right medical unit, floor, or diagnostic room. This slip contains the patient's name, room number, bed number, illness, and procedure to be performed. It makes the transportation process quite efficient. 2. Knowing the history of the patient It is critical to be aware of the condition of the patient. A medical transportation expert must know about a patient’s illness and allergies so that he/she can take important monitoring devices with them. 3. Integrating appropriate equipment A medical transporter carries all the necessary equipment based on the health condition of the patients. This equipment can be a wheelchair, stretcher, oxygen tank, and cardiac monitoring devices.

  2. 4 vital factors that aid NEMT in transporting patients safely 4. Using transport rollers or sliders A medical transporter should have rollers and sliders on hand when moving patients. These facilitate the transition for patients from bed to wheelchair or stretcher and vice versa. It encourages a secure and efficient moving process. A medical transportation service should be well equipped and comfortable to ensure the safety and convenience of the patients
