It will consist of the foods and the supplies and the nutrients • Part two is the voting part that you can decide which food you liked the most. NOTE: The voting will close on August 4th and results will be posted on my Science Literacy page.

  3. The Foods That Will Be Used • The foods that will be used are the following: • Dessert-Apple Crisp • Main Course-Barbecued Chicken • Side 1- Brown Rice Pilaf • Side 2-Rolls

  4. Barbecued Chicken – Main Dish Total number of calculated supplies: 2 ½ cups of chicken stock ½ cup of dehydrated onions 3 qt. of ketchup Graduated garlic 2 tsp. 3 cups of packed brown sugar 49 lb. of raw chicken For 100 servings

  5. Rolls - Side Amount of calculated supplies: ½ cup 2 tsp. active dry yeast 3 cups warm water 110ºF 2 2/3 cups instant non-fat dry milk 1 gal 2 ¾ quart Enriched all purpose flour 1 ¾ cups sugar ¼ cup salt Vegetable oil 2/3 cups Water room temperature 1quart 1 cup

  6. Brown Rice Pilaf - Side Total Number of calculated supplies: 2quarts 2 cups brown Rice 1 quart 2 cups white rice 2 gal 1 ¼ chicken stock 1 tsp. ground black pepper ¼ cup dehydrated onions

  7. Apple Crisp - Dessert Total amount of calculated supplies: Flour 1 quart 2 ½ cups Oats 1 quart 2 ¼ cups Brown sugar 1 quart Cinnamon 3 tsp. Salt 1 tsp. Butter 1 quart Apples canned 10 cans Water as needed Sugar 3 cups Ground cinnamon Lemon juice frozen ½ cup
