  2. Osha’s Safety Standards: The personnel responsible for the inspections should stick to the rules issued by the OSHA book with regards to sling checkups. The appropriate repair or replacement must be issued for all those broken or deformed. All couplings must be sound before work takes place. Proper rules for the sling inspections includes OSHA 1910.184(e)(7)(ii) , 1910.184(e)(8) and 1910.184(e)(9)(i) (data sourced from OSHA 1910.184 )
