  1. We the House…. Hebrews 3: 1-7

  2. Therefore, brothers and sisters who are partners in the heavenly calling, think about Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession. Hebrews 3:1 (CEB)

  3. The Son is the light of God’s glory and the imprint of God’s being. He maintains everything with his powerful message. Hebrews 1:3a (CEB)

  4. And the Son became so much greater than the other messengers, such as angels, that he received a more important title than theirs. Hebrews 1:4 (CEB)

  5. Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. Exodus 33:11 (NASB)

  6. Jesus was faithful to the one who appointed him just like Moses was faithful in God’s house. But he deserves greater glory than Moses in the same way that the builder of the house deserves more honor than the house itself. Every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant in order to affirm the things that would be spoken later. But Jesus was faithful over God’s house as a Son. Hebrews 3:2-6a (CEB)

  7. Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the entrance of the tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward. And he said, “Hear my words: When there are prophets among you,     I the Lord make myself known to them in visions;I speak to them in dreams.

  8. Not so with my servant Moses;     he is entrusted with all my house. With him I speak face to face— clearly, not in riddles;and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them, and he departed. Numbers 12:5-9 (NRSV)

  9. We are his house if…..

  10. We are his house if… we hold on to the confidence and the pride that our hope gives us.(CEB)  we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end. (ASV)  indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. (NIV) we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. (NASB) Hebrews 3:6b

  11. Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you hear His voice,… Hebrews 3:7(Psalm 95)

  12. After that I will pour out my spirit upon everyone;         your sons and your daughters will prophesy,         your old men will dream dreams,         and your young men will see visions. In those days, I will also pour out my     spirit on the male and female slaves. Joel 2:28-29 (CEB)

  13. If only you would listen to his voice right now!      “Don’t harden your hearts     like you did at Meribah,     like you did when you were at Massah,         in the wilderness,   when your ancestors tested me         and scrutinized me,  even though they had already seen my acts. Psalm 95:7b-9 (CEB)

  14. We are his house if we hold on to the confidence and the pride that our hope gives us. So, as the Holy Spirit says, Today, if you hear his voice,        don’t have stubborn hearts… Hebrews 3:6b-8a / Psalm 95:7b (CEB)
