  4. Entrance at existing north entry via new, well-lit path Site & Interim Entrance: Development Considerations:1. Re-route students safely to the library during construction 2. Allow adequate boundaries around the constructions site3. Flow of students from the center of campus4. Is building a temporary entry the best use of our resources? Garden

Considerations: • Present iconic facades to both the community & the University • Control east & west sunlight to prevent glare at pick station computers Screen Design: What we heard at our last meeting…. …The screen might include library- specific content, such as authors names, or represent various forms of language found in this library

  11. Interior Renovations: Where we were at our last meeting… • Sequence of events: • Load Government Documents into ASRS • 2. Relocate Info Commons/Reference to Gov Docs Area • 3. Use former Info Commons area to stage loading of ASRS 1 2 3

Interior Renovations: What we heard since the last meeting… • Facilitate loading of the ASRS while library continues to operate • A renovated Information Commons to test furniture & spatial arrangements would be well-received by library users • Make the space flexible to accommodate various student activities • Consider existing and future technologies • Make the space comfortable & friendly – a destination for students
