  2. ÇréÇréÑaò-Gosvämi-Añöaka • I offer my respectful obeisances unto the six Gosvämis, namely ÇréSanätanaGosvämi,ÇréRüpaGosvämi, ÇréRaghunäthaBhattaGosvämi, ÇréRaghunäthadasaGosvämi, ÇréJévaGosvämi, and ÇréGopälaBhattaGosvämi, • who are very expert in scrutinizingly studying all the revealed scriptures with the aim of establishing eternal religious principles for the benefit of all human beings. • Thus they are honored all over the three worlds, and they are worth taking shelter of because they are absorbed in the mood of the gopés, • and are engaged in the transcendental loving service of Rädhä and Krsna.” Carucandra Dasa

  3. I) Krsna’s Transcendental Forms & His Conjugal Love TLC to SanätanaGoswämi (Lesson 4 of 11 III) Devotional Service to the Lord II) Krsna’sOpulences Carucandra Dasa

  4. I) The real purpose of the Vedas II) Krsna is the only object of worship Lesson 4 of 11 How to Approach God? Chapter 5 of TLC Cc Madhya 20.136-164 IV) Krsna has unlimited forms & opulences III) Philosophical speculation is ultimately aimed at Krsna Carucandra Dasa

  5. B) Fruitive activities, speculative knowledge, and meditation do not lead one to this stage A) Directs humans to the perfect stage of devotion C) SB 11.14.20-21 cited I) The real purpose of the Vedas • E) If a low born is a devotee, he is freed from all contamination • But the disappearance of poverty and liberation are not the end result of love of Krsna • The end is to relish reciprocation of loving service D) Krsna is dear only to devotees Carucandra Dasa

  6. nasādhayatimāḿ yogonasāńkhyaḿdharmaUddhavana svādhyāyas tapas tyāgoyathā bhaktir mamorjitā(SB 11.14.20)“My dear Uddhava, the unalloyed devotional service rendered to Me by My devotees brings Me under their control. I cannot be thus controlled by those engaged in mystic yoga, Sāńkhyaphilosophy, pious work, Vedic study, austerity or renunciation.” Carucandra Dasa

  7. bhaktyāham ekayāgrāhyaḥśraddhayātmā priyaḥsatāmbhaktiḥpunāti man-niṣṭhāśva-pākānapisambhavāt(SB 11.14.21)“Only by practicing unalloyed devotional service with full faith in Me can one obtain Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. I am naturally dear to My devotees, who take Me as the only goal of their loving service. By engaging in such pure devotional service, even the dog-eaters can purify themselves from the contamination of their low birth.” Carucandra Dasa

  8. kiḿvidhattekimācaṣṭekimanūdyavikalpayetity asyāhṛdayaḿlokenānyo mad vedakaścana(SB 11.21.42)“In the entire world no one but Me actually understands the confidential purpose of Vedic knowledge. Thus people do not know what the Vedas are actually prescribing in the ritualistic injunctions of karma-kāṇḍa, or what object is actually being indicated in the formulas of worship found in the upāsanā-kāṇḍa, or that which is elaborately discussed through various hypotheses in the jñāna-kāṇḍa section of the Vedas.” Carucandra Dasa

  9. māḿvidhatte 'bhidhatte māḿvikalpyāpohyate tv ahametāvānsarva-vedārthaḥśabdaāsthāyamāḿbhidāmmāyā-mātram anūdyāntepratiṣidhyaprasīdati(SB 11.21.43)“I am the ritualistic sacrifice enjoined by the Vedas, and I am the worshipable Deity. It is I who am presented as various philosophical hypotheses, and it is I alone who am then refuted by philosophical analysis. The transcendental sound vibration thus establishes Me as the essential meaning of all Vedic knowledge. The Vedas, elaborately analyzing all material duality as nothing but My illusory potency, ultimately completely negate this duality and achieve their own satisfaction.” Carucandra Dasa

  10. II) Krsna is the only object of worship • While different scriptures point to different demigods, such instructions only bewilder people • Careful scrutiny of these scriptures, however, reveal Krsna as the only object of worship • Durgä or Käli worship is recommended in certain scriptures, but they are energies of Lord Visnu • Demigod worship is meant for neophytes in lower modes of nature. But gradually such neophytes may rise to transcendental platform and then serve Lord Visnu Carucandra Dasa

  11. III) Philosophical speculation (jnäna-yoga) is ultimately aimed at Krsna • Jnäna-kända section of the Vedas are intended to enable one to distinguish Krsna from mäyä. • After one understands what is mäyä, he can approach the Supreme Lord in pure ds • This is confirmed in Bg 7.19: • “After many births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders unto Me, knowing Me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soul is very rare.” Carucandra Dasa

  12. IV) Krsna has unlimited forms and opulences • He possesses the internal, external, and marginal potencies. • Therefore, He is the source of both the material and spiritual worlds. • Krsna is äsraya-tattva(the ultimate shelter) and everything/everyone else is äsrita-tattva(subordinate of or dependent on Krsna) • Krsna, the son of Nanda Mahäräja, is the Absolute Truth (AT), Whose form is eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss. • Krsna is the source of all other forms of Godhead (SB 1.3.28) • The AT has 3 features—Brahman (Krsna’s effulgence), Paramätma (Krsna’s all-pervading localized form in everyone’s heart), and Bhagavän (Krsna is the soul of all souls—SB 10.14.55) • The transcendental form of the Lord can only be understood through the process of ds in full Krsna consciousness. Carucandra Dasa
