  3. Where do we start? • At first, focus is on the tool • Sessions on cool tools • Array of possibilities • Where should the focus be? • First on the learning outcome • Second on the learners • Then the tools

  4. Pressure to Individualize • Lots of focus on: • individualizing learning • meeting all the students needs • Is this possible? Yes, but it isn’t the easy way • pressures of teaching • pressure to be ready • Security in the known

  5. The Answer….Maybe • Projects and assignments that can have multiple outcomes with the learning in tact • Sounds hard • It is, but it is worth it…

  7. Where do we start? • What do you want the learners to know when it is all said and done • Standards, benchmarks, GLCE’s, HSCE’s etc • What is the target? How will I know if they know it?
