INTERNATIONAL SCHOLAR PROGRAM • Intensive business experience in California's global-and entrepreneur-oriented economy. • Unique interactive course; puts business theory into real-world business practice. • One or two semesters long; Open University. • 7 universities(University of Passau, University of Wurzburg, Fachhochschule Nurtingen, European Business School, Chulalongkorn University, Bayreuth University, Dong-A University). • Includes: • Internships, • Field Trip (3COM, Cisco Systems and Oracle in Silicon Valley; International Business Symposium in San Francisco); • Seminars (E-commerce, Introduction to American Corporate Culture, Geographic Information Systems etc)

  4. SUMMER STUDY ABROAD • Summer 2003, 2004, and 2005: Ecole Superieure de Commerce Exterieur, Paris, France. • Provide Global/International learning environment. • Core business course plus language class. • Corporate and cultural visits. • A well-rounded and well-balanced educational experience.

INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM • One-to-one exchange to foreign location • Students enroll in any course offered by host institution if they meet requirements • Program length: semester or academic year • No overseas tuition is charged • Joy D. Covey Scholarship available • 14 Universities in 10 different countries

  6. GOING GLOBAL Objectives: • On-line international business curriculum • Interdisciplinary student teams • Two immersion workshops • Export Conference

On-line international business curriculum: International business courses created / enhanced Specialized teaching materials Interdisciplinary student teams: 10 local businesses 20 MBA students and 5 faculty members 10 export plans We have offered the following: Workshops: Reach New Clients World-Wide: “Strategies to Explore New Export Markets” “Emerging Global Market for Import/Export” Workshop Conference: The Trilateral Conference on “Quality of Life: Impact on Society, Environment and Education in Asia Pacific and the United States” Conference on “Post 9/11: New International Trade Development” Co-Sponsor: Business After Hours/ Oktoberfest in Visalia with Visalia Chamber of Commerce Negociantes Unidos “Emerging Global Market for Import/Export” with Fresno Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce GOING GLOBAL
