The S.E.A.R.C.H begins • SEARCH recruits the Project Co-ordinator • The four Outreach Workers take up post • Action plan is prepared • The Survey/ Questionnaire gets rolled out • Training begins immediately • Workshops are delivered in each area • Festivals all around South East Antrim • Work begins on bonfire protocols • Interface dialogue continues • Project launch in September • New action plan prepared

Key Findings • 1600 Surveys distributed - 961 Returned fully completed • 743 Male and 218 Female • 351 aged between 18 -30 • 544 aged between 31-60 • 66 aged 60 plus
Education • Majority of people surveyed attended secondary school (844) and 69 attended grammar school • 10 people attended university and 102 attended technical or further education colleges
Qualifications • 147 passed the 11 plus • 91 obtained O and A Levels • 352 obtained GCSE • 133 obtained City & Guilds or BTEC • 1 Post Graduate • 4 Masters

Community Festivals Five Festival Events 2011 Teddy Bears Picnic raised £1,250 for the Children’s Hospice in March Royal Wedding Party in April August Festival Halloween Festival Christmas Tree Switch on 25th November

So what will 2012 bring • A Service level agreement and a £250,000 refurbishment • for Rathfern Community Centre • New training opportunities • More bonfire initiatives • A new flags protocol • A possible extension for the SEARCH Programme • Greater funding opportunities • Fundraising for local charities • A new series of workshops • More collaboritive working
