  2. Background • Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) Mission • ALUCP Technical Advisory Group (ATAG) • Formation and Mission • Membership (includes cities and County of San Diego, airport operators, pilots, community groups, military and landowners) • Committees/Subcommittees • Major Issues

  3. Urban Airports SubcommitteeRisk Reduction Working Group Meeting on December 3rd Agenda Topics: • Discuss revised safety criteria matrix and potential risk reduction measures

  4. Military Airports Subcommittee Meetings on December 4th & 18th Agenda Topics: • A revised draft safety matrix was presented on the 4th. After receipt of a letter from the USMC, the draft safety matrix was further revised to reflect the Marines’ clarification. This matrix was presented and discussed at the meeting on the 18th.

  5. ALUCP Community Outreach Plan • December 13th: Community Leaders Forum • Held at MCAS Miramar with representatives from the adjacent community planning groups and MCAS Miramar staff • December 18th: North County Jurisdictions Planning staff • Held at Oceanside City Hall with representatives from the County of San Diego, MCAS Camp Pendleton and the neighboring cities around the Air Station

ATAG and ALUCP Status Where are we now? • USMC • Starting on the environmental analysis for the two ALUCPs • Drafting the USMC ALUCP language • Urban Airports • Completing work on the safety matrix including risk reduction discussions • Brown Field Group to meet to resolve any outstanding concerns

ATAG and ALUCP Status Where are we now? • SDIA • Consensus on the Overflight compatibility factor • Currently working on the Noise compatibility factor • Airspace Protection and Safety compatibility factors will be discussed next • Navy • Waiting for the Navy to finish their AICUZ studies • Community Outreach • Continue ATAG Subcommittee meetings • ATAG members conduct outreach with their respective groups • Outreach will also be conducted in accordance with legal requirements for environmental review
