Graduation Coach -Caseload manager for at risk & retained students Mechelle Jones (404-802-4711) camjones@atlanta.k12.ga.us Primary Role: Help At Risk and Retained Students Successfully Complete High School Develop Remediation Strategies for at Risk Students • Develop academic intervention strategies • Implement remediation, academic supports and interventions • Serve on attendance committee • Monitor at-risk/repeater students • Provide individual and group counseling for students’ personal, social, emotional development • Facilitate credit recovery (AVA, Edgenuity) • Make summer school recommendations • Conduct transcript audits for caseload Coordinate with Key Support Partners • Attend IEP/SST/504 meetings (caseload) • Make referrals to West End/CRIM • Attend Forrest Hill transition meetings • Provide IGP updates for caseloads Support College and Career Programs • Provide support for local and school-based college fairs • Provide support during College and Career Motivation Week • Share relevant data with College Access Team

College Advising Corps Adviser* -Caseload manager for 11th–12th grade Taylor Thomas (404-802-4720) nahscollege@gmail.com Arnelle Vilfort (404-802-4720) nahscollege@gmail.com Primary Role: Planning College Applicants Support for College & Career Center • Day to day support in the College &Career Center • Ensure center is welcoming, organized and open during school hours • Participate in College Access Team planning and coordination meetings • Share relevant data with the school College Access Team Provide Guidance for College Planning Process • Conduct workshops on college application process • Provide postsecondary financial counseling/literacy • Assist with FAFSA awareness/completion • Identify SAT/ACT fee waivers • Provide information for and give presentations during advisement period • Coordinate student registration for SAT/ACT/ACCUPLACER * The Georgia College Advising Corps works in underserved high schools throughout Georgia to increase the number of low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students who attend and complete higher education. They help students find their way to college by placing well-trained, recent college graduates in high schools to work one-on-one with students as they navigate the complex college admissions process, including researching college options, completing applications, and applying for financial aid. Facilitate Access to College and Career Tours and Fairs • Assist with individual college visits/tours • Provide coordination support during College and Career Motivation Week • Provide coordination support during Apply to College Week/Month • Provide support for local and school based college fairs Hands on Support to Senior College Applicants • Help students determine college fit/match, applying to at least 3 schools • Facilitate college application/essay completion • Assist in scholarship search and application process • Assist students with Achieve Atlanta scholarship Complete Reports on Critical Data • Track and report key performance indicators in GRACE
