  1. Paige’s Flat Stanley Visited Another Second Grade Class at Most Sacred Heart School in Eureka, Missouri! All of the second graders wrote about Stanley’s adventures in a special journal!

  2. Each second grader in Ms. Baldwin’s class at Most Sacred Heart School got to spend a day showing Flat Stanley around and doing things with him. If you want the whole story, you will have to look at the great journal they sent back! This presentation will just cover some of the highlights……

  3. Dear Paige and all of the 2nd Graders, Thank you for letting Flat Stanley visit us. Most students had a chance to have Flat Stanley sit with them for a day and write in our journal. Flat Stanley went on a field trip with us to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. We went to learn more about seeds, which we did learn about…..

  4. Here’s Flat Stanley enjoying the gardens. As I was saying, we learned about seeds, but …..

  5. I think that most students were most excited to learn about the poisonous dart frogs. When the frogs are in the rainforest, they eat poisonous plants. The plants don’t kill the frogs, but if a predator eats the frog, the predator will die. However, at the Botanical Gardens, the frogs are not fed poisonous plants, so guess what? They are not poisonous to predators!

  6. First Reconciliation! We also had our First Reconciliation while Flat Stanley was here. Ours was on November 17. To practice for First Reconciliation (can you think of another word that has more than 6 syllables?) the students took turns dressing up as a priest and they got to practice both the priest’s part and the penitent’s part! It was fun!

  7. Then on November 18, our school had Advent Bash, which is a huge deal around here. We included a lot of pictures of Stanley at Advent Bash! More photos on the next page!

  8. More Advent Bash Pictures!

  9. We have a website that we use at our school to help us learn more, and that is what a lot of students wrote about. It is called Brain Pop Junior. Do you have it? Here’s a sample…. http://www.brainpopjr.com/socialstudies/biographies/georgewashington/

  10. We also went to the Sheldon Theater for another free field trip to learn about American Theater. There’s More…

  11. At Sacred Heart School, we have P.E., Computers, and Music twice a week. We have Art and Library once a week. Here are some more photos of Flat Stanley!

  12. I sure had a great time with the 2nd Graders of Sacred Heart School!

  13. I came back to Paige in a box with the Journal that the kids kept while I was visiting with them. I’m sure Paige will share it with you! Thanks for sending me on such a cool adventure Paige!
