  3. 10000 Home Phase I Study • From the July 16, 2009 Declaration of Intent: The goal is to provide low-cost weatherization, energy and waterefficiency upgrades to at least 10,000 homes within the Alachua County area over the next five years. The program focus will be on weatherizinglow-income housing, alleviating poverty and enhancing social equity. Home occupants or owners will not pay for this service. Homes will be weatherized to reduce energy consumption by up to a third and will include education and awareness training for the occupant for low cost improvements. This work can be accomplished at little to no cost to the Initiative with an average cost estimated to be around $2,750 per home. 10000 Home Weatherization Initiative: July 30, 2009

Draft Timeline for Sept Pilot August: • Outreach campaign and draft education materials designed, draft paperwork to request energy consumption data from participating homes – Also, come up with umbrella issues and logo – First weeks of August • Work program for initial, 10 home pilot program design with draft budget – First weeks of August • Draft Energy and Poverty Map Created Mid August • Who is in team leader: Sean McLendon • Alachua County Board of County Commissioner Workshop on ECSC Recommendations Aug 26: Review 10,000 Home Program? • Santa Fe College Energy Auditor Summer Youth Program Complete: Aug 30 • Outreach campaign to 10 potential homes for pilot project – Last weeks of August 10000 Home Weatherization Initiative: July 30, 2009

Draft Timeline for Sept Pilot September • Final selection of first 10 homes – first week of September • Schedule work, video tape work for rebroadcast and promotional materials; audit and behavior change emphasis with case management references to other agencies– Mid to Late September • Documentation review and debrief, lessons learned meeting – Late September 10000 Home Weatherization Initiative: July 30, 2009
