  2. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, Hebrews 10.23-24

  3. 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10.25

  5. The Power of Joy in the New Testament

  6. Because of authentic relationships – there was incredible joy!

  7. 32 But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, 33 sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. Hebrews 10.32-33

  8. 34 For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. 35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. Hebrews 10.34-35

  9. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. Hebrews 10.36

  10. 1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Philippians 2.1-2

  11. 3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2.3-4

  12. Look outward, apart from self.

  13. 21st Century Christians Have This Power!

  14. Let’s change our focus from maintenance to mission.

  15. We should be optimistic about impacting the lost!

  16. We must work on knowing each other.

  17. As we encourage each other, joy will be the result.

  18. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Romans 12.15

  19. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5.11

  20. 14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle,encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. 1 Thessalonians 5.14

  21. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrew 3.13

  22. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, Hebrews 10.23-24

  23. Healthy relationships build respect and trust.

  24. 16a Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 5.16a

  25. Unless you are willing to make yourself vulnerable, you will never have fulfilling relationships.

  26. There is incredible power in our joy!
