  2. Video Application over GENI using RINA Network Video clients (VLC players) are connected to the video streaming server through RINA proxies which are connected over a RINA network. The RINA network is composed of DIFs, where routing policies (and other policies) can be easily configured for each DIF

  3. Topologies (1)

  4. Topologies (2)

  5. Topology (3)

  6. Tools used • Flack • GRE Tunnels • Stitching • GENI Desktop • Omni

  7. Flack • Hard to manage large topologies • Browser becomes really slow • Nice to have a button on node to SSH into a node • Renewing resources with Stitching/GRE tunnel • Adding members to Slice after reserving resources

  8. GRE Tunnels • Interface Maximum transmission unit (MTU) problem • Packets get lost • Iperf with TCP does not work • Manifest document: capacity, loss etc

  9. Stitching • New Omni 2.6 is Great!!! , but update came just a week before GEC 20 • Resources are reserved but cannot SSH into the VMs • Few Aggregates on West coast: • Stanford: No public IP addresses available • http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/ExpGraphs

  10. GENI Desktop (1) • Real Time graphs • Used Netlogger to generate log files • Use GEMNI to generate Graphs • Limitation: • No documentation for Netlogger • Uploading files on VMs • Running Command on multiple nodes

  11. GENI Desktop (2) • Generating multiple data-set on same graph • Lag in generating graphs
