  4. Psalms 23 6Surely your goodness and love will follow meall the days of my life,and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

  11. If He is the Shepherd then we are the sheep!

  12. Sheep need shepherds to… care for them.

  13. Why does God use sheep as a way to describe us? It helps us to see ourselves humbly and displays our need for a shepherd.

  16. “…for His name’s sake.” His reputation is at stake.

  17. “He makes me to lie down…” All needs are met. Only content sheep lie down.

  18. Four things must be true. • Free from Hunger • Free from Fear • Free from Friction • Free from Pests

  19. Jehovah-raah makes provision for each need.

  20. Freedom from Hunger Fill up on His word!

  21. Freedom from Hunger Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.(I Peter 2:2)

  22. Freedom from Hunger For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.(Hebrews 5:13-14)

  23. Freedom from Hunger All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.(II Timothy 3:16-17)

  24. Freedom from Fear Walk with the King!

  25. Freedom from Fear 16We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. (I John 4:16, 18)

  26. Freedom from Fear God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.(II Timothy 1:7)

  27. Freedom from Fear When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?(Psalms 56:3-4)

  28. Freedom from Friction Learn to LoveLavishly!

Freedom from Friction 12And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 14For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.(Matthew 6:12, 14-15)

Freedom from Friction 23Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.(Matthew 5:23-24)

  31. Freedom from Friction But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.(Matthew 5:44)

  32. Freedom from Friction 3Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.(Philippians 2:3-4)

  33. Freedom from Pests Flood your minds with the eternal!

  34. Freedom from Pests We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. (II Corinthians 10:5)

  35. Freedom from Pests 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Freedom from Pests 8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians4:8-9)

  37. Freedom from Pests The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in you. (Isaiah 26:3)

  38. The End Result: Surely goodness & mercy will follow allthe days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORDforever. (Psalms 23:6)
