  4. Discussion of the work package • Objective:give ideas and modules to the teacher trainers • Seminars, lectures and workshops • Structure of the group: teachers and teacher trainers • In October 2008 one day extra is planned

  5. Aims of the teacher training • the teachers will be shown - how to use the existing material- how to develop teaching material themselves - how to adapt and modify existing learning materials- how to use or modify teaching methods.

  6. Timetable, schedule • March 16th 2008, meeting in Budapest during GDM http://mathdid.elte.hu/GDM2008/gdm2008.html • September 2008, meeting in Romania during the yearly conference

Activities planned • collect material, ask the other groups • two kinds of modules • dates for the first module:2007-12-16 first draft version in English2008-01-16 end of editing 2008-02-16 end of feedback from the othersstart testing in polish and voluntary other countries2008-03-16 feedback for the meeting

First structure for a workshop • motivating introduction • what we do? student worksheet • why we do? aims, objectives, possibilities • how to do? presentation of some material • did we do it? assessment of the material • now do it! access to the restricted area of the homepage (moodle) • follow up session (one to two months later) • feedback, documentation, evaluation (using the homepage, pay attention on ethics!)

  9. Second kind of modules • modifying existing and creating new material • Language • Motivation • Personalization, localization • realistic

  10. Workshop evaluation • seven simple questions shall evaluate the workshops before the meeting in Romania • ideas for those questions should be sent to Peter, Tanja and Alan a.s.a.p. and not later than 2008-02-16

  11. Aims for the first project year • Completing the ideas via communication platform • Testing these first ideas • Evaluating these tests with questionnaires • Collecting ideas, how to change the first proposal
